Although there are many variations of Ralleys (so
many, in fact, that we can not begin to list them all)
in one way or another they are all derived from the Time,
Speed and Distance Ralley.
When planning a Ralley it is most important to think about
WHO is going to participate in this Ralley. If your intent
is to host some very serious car-people that are looking
for bragging rights then the Time, Speed and Distance
Ralley is for you.
If you're looking for something serious but less demanding
choose a Gimmick Ralley using the Numbered Route Instructions
(described in the Gimmick Ralley section).
If you look for pure enjoyment with the opportunity to
see the countryside and points of interest then by all
means look at the Poker Ralley section.
Or, use your imagination and come up with your own variation
that suits the people that will be participating in your
Ralley.
The point is to have FUN!
We have posted information here for two very popular variations,
the Gimmick Ralley and the Poker Ralley. Use the links
on the left to navigate to each section. Please don't
think that these are the only way to run one of these
Rallies. I have been participating in Ralleys for almost
30 years and it seems wherever you go you will see a new
twist.
