History: |
| I found this beautiful
car listed on AutoTrader in 2000. I bought it from the
second owner who had owned it for about 1 year. The
car originally came from Oklahoma, and was purchased
from a gentleman (the original owner) who needed space
for his new Porsche. At the time the car had about 68,000
miles on the odometer. I paid $5300, and drove it home.
I have the original window sticker (along with all the
other original documentation), which shows a list price
of $26,694. This was $500 over the 5 speed model, and
was the only option offered on this car in 1984. Soon
afterwards I joined up with the Z Club of Houston. I
really wanted to show the car at the local Autorama,
and was directed to Doug Bakke at Awesome Z. Doug gave
me a "punchlist" of areas of the car that
would need attention to really bring the car up to show
quality. Following his advice, a major detailing, and
worn parts replacement went underway. With the exception
of some paintwork to remove rockchips on the front end,
I have done all the work myself. The car is currently
appraised and insured at $19,500, and is rarely driven.
